Happy Holidays! I hope you are enjoying the fall colors (more than usual for Central Texas. I’m guessing the early freeze might have had something to do with it. But I don’t really know), the fun and silly stuff people put up in their yards, and the air of joyous camaraderie! As opposed to the tightening sense of panic and anxiety brought on by the perceived necessity of spending a ton of money on presents and cleaning the house for family and guests that stress you out and piss you off, and the increased political/cultural polarization that turns us in to warring gangs instead of human beings… sorry. I lost myself there for a minute. Festive cheer and parties! Darkness and stress. Either way, enjoy!
If you need a break, and you get to thinking that for some reason seeing me playing music and attempting to be entertaining might help, I have prepared a list of public shows (see below). I’m busy this month. And then it all falls off a cliff for January. That’s the time I think of changing the intake manifold gasket on the Matrix. Maybe? I said I would do it last year. Hey, I have a whole list of stuff I haven’t gotten done.
One piece of news I need to give you: I’m going to take an indefinite break from the Bob Schneider band after the end of this year. I might be back for the Moonlight Orchestra shows. I’ve played with Bob for 14.5 years. It’s been great, and I’m looking forward to whatever lies ahead.
Happy December, and happy holidays (no it’s not a war on Christmas. Just celebrate the way you do, and try not to hurt others. Or be nice! It might turn out to be the best gift you give to yourself). I hope to see you at the show…
