Squirrel Show! The Squirrel Show! Squirrel! The! Show! Yeah!
… So, it’s Thursday again, and that means that The Squirrel Show is back, live, from Oliver Steck’s garage! Tonight at 7:30pm, CST, on my regular Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/oliver.steck.56).
Special Guests? Musical Requests? Dancing? Hula hoops? Game shows? An hour of me just cleaning the garage? So many possibilities! Once again all of them are brought to you by Lobster Guru. Lobsters got you down? Wondering if they’re talking about you? Call Lobster Guru. “Lobster Guru: he knows what they’re thinking!”
And while I’m at it, one more thing: I have been doing a Singing Telegram with Distance for a couple weeks now, and it’s been great. It’s like the old school idea: I go to people’s houses and play songs (covers, written to be relevant, or just made up) from about 15 feet away (I bring a mask). I enjoy it. I’ve been doing as a way to cheer people up. I’ve also been doing solo parades in some neighborhoods. Just to add to the surreality. Songs, various costumes, creative ways of breaking up the day. If you’d like to have me show up, let me know and I’ll try to make it work. If you want to tip a musician for it, that’s great, but if you can’t do that right now, don’t worry about it. Just let me know and I’ll try to work it out. Have a great day!
Also, I want to let you know that I’m going to try doing a show for kids this Saturday morning (5/16) at 10am CST, for about 30 minutes. I’m going to see how well the live routine translates through the screen, and if it works for the kids I’ll start making more kids material (as opposed to The Squirrel Show, which runs on lethargy and panic. Squirrel pays the writers in nuts). It will still be on my regular Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/oliver.steck.56).
